I'm sensing a theme here ...
someone let out with no bail goes right back out and commits the same crime over and over. Maybe I'm just imagining it. Good thing this poor guy wasn't forced to stay in jail, that probably would have been racist or something.

There needs to be the ability to involuntarily commit people who are obviously mentally incapable and unstable. There's already a topic on this crime and this guy. One thing to note is that he was eligible for bail to be set for the prior crime and he's eligible for bail to be set for this as well. The question is, why did the DA give him a break and what can the consequences be for the DA? If there are no consequences, then what needs to change for there to be something?

He will do it again, no doubt.

BDB is making late 1970s NYC seem dreamy.

I wasn't here in the late 1970s, but going by the states and what footage remains, this comment seems downright silly.

these bad people commit these crimes because they have no fear instilled in them.
meaning, they know there is no real punishment.
they do something bad, suck as derailing a train, the get arrested and 5 hours later are free to go.

what part of this insanity does Bla and Cuomo not "get".
These 2 men have got to be he 2 dumbest men on the planet.

These 2 men have allowed this nonsense to happen here in our city. Everything guilanni worked sohard for, and everything we achieved has now, because of the mayor and the govenor gone right out the window.

How they don't see this, or what is it that they are trying to accomplish?, oir do they see it and are turning a blind eye to it? they cant possibly think things are good here?

If I remember right, there was a pic of him walking his dog in Albany without a mask while his wife(?) did. Meanwhile, he wanted 4000 cops to somehow maintain 25% indoor dining in the city and sends his cronies to random bars to take their liquor license away. I feel like if it wasn't election year, people would hold these guys accountable, but alas. Thinking about dealing with them for the next 2 isn't exactly fun. RIP The Skinny and your 25 cent wings.
