As part of a $306 billion infrastructure plan, Cuomo outlined the larger scope of his redevelopment plan for the waterfront on the west side on Thursday in the final installment of his 2021 State of the State address.
As part of the statewide plan, Cuomo said a $51 billion overhaul of Pier 76, currently an NYPD tow yard, and other components to the Empire Station Complex and an expansion to the High Line which he expects to create 196,000 jobs.
Simultaneously, Cuomo’s administration is preparing to restore the MTA’s $54 billion capital plan adopted in early 2020 and shelved along the way as a cost-saving measure amid the COVID-19 crisis.
We will further extend the Second Avenue Subway from 96th Street to 125th Street. That will open up the east side all the way up to Harlem for new exciting possibilities...as well as bringing back 24/7 subways service.
Also in Cuomo’s redevelopment plan is a decision to start over with Port Authority Bus Terminal which he said would allow for more commercial space, fewer buses and less pollution going to the surrounding communities, all while improving the commuting experience.
umm, people are homeless, starving, and fleeing NYC and this bozo wants to build billion dollar bike paths in Manhattan?
And they say Trump voters are disconnected
Can anyone with any mental abilities whatseoever please explain how a pier project costs 51 billion dollars? what? I mean, what>>??
Too many lazy people in this country. The more you give the more they take and the more expensive it gets to produce any work in NYC.
Liberals just never understand how their strategies will always cost the city progress. No amount of taxes extracted from people can fix without getting people to become productive and take them off social services.
There are too many people looking for ways here to game the thousands of programs here offer money for doing nothing.

Getting people to become productive? Where's my popcorn.

Details were paltry. And...there's the rub.
I know people want to get back to business as usual, but we literally have thousands of people who have lost their jobs, can’t put food on the table, and will likely be evicted or foreclosed upon an upcoming months. Cuomo is incredibly out of touch.

Even with a bail out, we’re going to be in the hole for a couple of years to come. We’re far from being out of the woods yet. It’s incredibly dumb to start spending money that we don’t yet have.
Now that the honeymoon is over and most of the country realizes how big of a buffoon Cuomo is, he has to find a new angle.
