I didn't see a thread about this, apologies if I missed it.
Does anyone know anything about logistics for the new Yankee Stadium vaccination site? I was able to get my mother an appointment for this weekend, but there seems to be no info available about where to park, where in the stadium the vaccinations will be given, etc. She had a knee replacement 4 weeks ago, so I would like to try to avoid her having to walk long distances/standing for a long period of time if at all possible. But I also want to get her vaccinated sooner rather than later.
I sent Somos Health an email, but assume they will not get back to me as I'm sure they're slammed. I have been Googling but so far the only thing I can find are announcement articles, none about the actual logistics of the site.
...developed to not only directly address the Bronx's concerning positivity rate - which is the highest among all New York City boroughs - but to also further the State's and City's mandate for fairness and social equity in the vaccine distribution process...
BTW Staten Island, not the Bronx, has the highest Covid case rate in the city at 9069.75 per 100,000, the Bronx is second highest at 7435.52 per 100,000. Equity? https://github.com/nychealth/coronav...ls/by-boro.csv
I honestly don't care about the argument between which borough had the highest positivity rate. She's over 65 and a Bronx resident so she is eligible here. Good enough for me.
I am just looking for info on where to park, where do we go etc. As I mentioned, she had a knee replacement a month ago so trying to judge if she can handle the amount of walking that may be involved.
Either way, we are keeping the appointment, she's said she's up for it. If I'm the one who takes her (will either be me or my sister), I'll come back to update for anyone else who may be interested.

Has anyone seen anything?
It's not happening any time soon, maybe not at all. There are not enough doses, they keep cancelling existing appointments because they've run out of vials and the shipments are coming up short. Right now many countries are refusing to accept the AstraZeneca and J&J vaccines so that is putting an even bigger crush on Pfizer and Moderna who can't pump out the doses fast enough
If I was you, I would make plans for multiple scenarios. You arrive there 30 minutes early and see if there is any designated parking spot that is close to the entrance. If not, then look for one, and pay for it if is necessary.
That’s all I can help. Sorry I can’t get a solid answer for you.
you didn't register, C-D pays posters $500-$5000 if you get enough engagement. Mathjak has made thousands here
