New data shows that nearly half of New York City public schools have had attendance rates during the COVID-19 crisis that fall below what’s considered acceptable by education experts. In dozens of schools, serving thousands of students, the median attendance rate is alarmingly low, at less than 61%. And the majority of the schools with a high number of absences are located in Black and brown communities hit hardest by the pandemic, exacerbating an already stark disparity, in not only health but also education.
I'm tired of this "hit hardest" crap. It's just liberal code woke speak for "you live in an urban area like cockroaches on top of each other with no regard for public health spreading the virus like wildfire not giving a ratz azz."
There's a reason why Manhattanites didn't get hit as hard as the boroughs, they abide by the guidelines.
The virus doesn't "hit" people differently because of skin color. Enough.
Who'da thunk it? I thought us low-life Staten Islanders were the worst at everything? My kids have been in school 5 days a week, LEARNING, all through this.
Although to be honest, that just means I am setting them up for more "privilege" attacks when they are older.

I'm not sure that we know that. The virus does seem to affect different populations differently through a combination of behavior, overall health, age distribution, and genetics (clearly indirectly, maybe directly).

No he's a virus expert, let him speak on it

When this thing first hit I drove past a bodega and there were 50 people loitering out front drinking, smoking, gambling, dancing, partying at 3 in the morning with zero cdc guidelines enforced....and that's the day I realized just how racist this virus really was.

COVID made their parents feed them coke and doritos and use sponge bob as a home educational tool
