I have the Ring 2 doorbell. Before I got it I thought I needed it real bad, like I was def missing out on something and needed to be able to check my package deliveries or unexpected doorbell rings, however now that I have it, I find I rarely ever even check the app to see the footage. With that said I can’t really think of any cons, other than spending the money for a device with little use, but never know when you’ll actually need the footage.

All apartments in my condo have one and it's connected to a camera in the lobby to see the front desk.

Similar. Our building has a video intercom system. Pretty low tech by current standards. We also have a recorded CCTV system.

I should disable mine. Mine works and I never answer it when it rings. I'm pretty sure people scratch their head sometimes, Like I hear a person in there. Why aren't they answering

Ring is common among my family and friends.'

I remember hearing about that product on Shark Tank. None of the sharks bought into the asking price... Ring is eventually bought by Amazon for one billion a few years later.

I have multiple cameras that align the perimeter of my compound. Some people can see, others they can't. Once I figure out how to electrify my fence without harming cats and dogs I will be good.

I had an intruder this morning at 6 am. My main gate camera and driveway camera caught this fully masked up and wearing a hat "POC" tresspessasing on my property looking in my cars. The savage walked right up to the garage and attempted to look in the window. They are smart enough NOT to look at the cameras. So now, we install 3 more cameras. One on the flagpole for an overshot view of the entire area. One on the telephone pole that will face my house, and another on the corner of my fence that will face the front of the house as well.

Relatively. My cleaning lady walks to and from it. I wouldn't consider myself close to one, but not far away either.
