I just wish they'd stop showing that commercial with the doctors constantly. Numerous times during last night's Mets game, then at least twice during Ch4 11PM news, just a few minutes apart.

Just like you, I'm planning on wearing my mask during cold/flu season irrespective of COVID. I don't want anyone telling me what I can or cannot do.

Again I say, my dad got a cold last month and he wears double surgical masks everywhere he goes. I've stopped wearing masks over a month ago and haven't caught anything.

I'm sorry your dad got a cold. However, your anecdotal evidence is outweighed by what many East Asian countries have been doing for decades.
I will say this: if you have a cold/flu/allergies or whatever, stay away from me. Whether it's in a subway car, in an office, or wherever. Whether you wear a mask or not, that's your choice, however, do not be in public hacking a lung or some other nastiness.

You want a weak immune system? Because avoiding getting sick your whole life is really not a good idea. If your body doesn't learn how to fight off infections every once in a while, when something really bad hits you, it will not be pretty.
