In waning days of his tenure as mayor this eegit Sam The Eagle is going to shovel a *f* ton of money to his peeps on way out the door. Worse he's setting things up all but daring future administrations to kill said programs.
Every other day or week look for more of these idiotic socialist, progressive, liberal democrat schemes to emerge as done deals from city hall.
And still, no one knows where the $850,000,000.00 for "Thrive NYC" went. $1,250.00 a month and lots of freebies for the homeless folks, who will most likely spend it on booze, weed and scratch offs.
In other news. liquor stores announce a doubling of store square footage due to unexpected flood of revenue, and Mexican Cartels put in orders for brand new cesna airplanes
If it's any consolation, most of the money won't actually go to do anything for the homeless and will be pissed away on administrative costs (IE graft).
40 person pilot in NYC and the vast majority of the funding from outside municipal funds. NYC wouldn't be the first municipality to do a pilot of this and the results from previous pilots elsewhere have been mostly somewhat good as the cost of actually dealing with the homeless otherwise sometimes isn't all that cheap. It's amazing how worked up folks are getting about this, but I guess that should be expected given how mediocre much of this forum has become with its one dumb passing outrage after another.
