IMPORTANT NOTE - Garcia is not even hispanic. She kept her ex-husband's name for political purposes. Many voters will just see the Spanish last name and a (D) then check it off.
As for Wiley she is nuts and belongs in Portland with the rest of the radical left.
Wiley has been eliminated as of the 10th round today and it's down to Adams and Garcia with Adams having a 16k vote lead but outstanding absentee ballots still to be counted. And they say absentee ballots actually favor Garcia.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- After 11 rounds of ranked choice voting Eric Adams has crossed the required 50% threshold with 51.1% of the votes.
Kathryn Garcia has received 48.9% of the vote and Maya Wiley has been eliminated.
However, Tuesday's tabulation in the NYC mayoral primary will not be final, because it does not include more than 124,000 absentee ballots. But it will show a complete tally of in person voting.
Adams is 15,908 votes ahead of Kathryn Garcia, or 2.2%
I think if Adams wins he is going to be in an interesting position.
He has talked about being tougher on crime.
He will probably bring back a revised plain clothes unit and other measures
Yet at the same time being black people will look at him doing these things in that context

The only caveat is if Wiley gains 4,000 votes she could overtake Garcia and still be in the running after all.
Either way this is not the slam dunk Adams probably thought it was on election night.
Reduce the NYPD budget by $1 billion and invest those funds directly into the communities most impacted by gun violence.
