Donors to Kathryn Garcia, Eric Adams saw good results, according to early vote tallies

Those who gave to Ray McGuire, Shaun Donovan paid hundreds of dollars per vote

The city Campaign Finance Board doled out a record $109.8 million in matching funds to candidates

Preliminary filings show the candidates recorded $54.8 million in spending. And spending from outside groups totaled an additional $31.8 million.

Compare that to $46.7 million in candidate spending and just $5.8 million in outside spending ahead of the 2013 primaries for mayor.

This primary season, political action committees went big for their candidates, spending on TV ad buy after TV ad buy.
