I am so fed up and amazed at the number of people (primarily women) who, whenever they read about a horrendous assault on the street or in the subway respond with "my thoughts and prayers are with the person who committed the crime. No one seems to think of the victim of the crime. These people are of the belief that society has failed each and every punk who commits an assault. Whatever happened to common sense and personal responsibility? Should no-one ever again be held accountable for their crimes? Why should I, or anyone else, feel sorry for the person who feels free to commit whatever atrocity they want without any fear of punishment or consequences?
Watch the woman-on-the-street interviews shown on TV after one of these events. Young white females (transplants or suburbanites, most likely) always go for the "we need more mental health care" line. Are any of them signing up to work with these people? Doubtful. I guess that makes them feel safer than thinking that there are just evil, bad people around.

That’s interesting. I’ve heard a lot of people on the right request for increasing mental health services whenever a major mass shooting occurs. As opposed to a sensible gun reform.
What makes you think none of them major in psychology ? Someone does fill those positions, a lot of them ( therapists) require a masters degree
OP is a troll. No one ever said "my thoughts and prayers are with the person who committed the crime." Or anything like that. We have enough clowns on this forum we don't need more.
