I've seen more & more office workers walking around in Midtown. Tourists too on those hop on & hop off buses. Subways aren't exactly packed (unless there's been a service reduction) but pretty full especially the 7 train. N train not as much.

I did a full 5 day work week once so far this year and I almost lost my mind. What a miserable way to live.

I try to go in 3 times a week, 4 max. I value quality of life more than anything.
I’m lucky my Employer understands this to a degree.

I also made sure they understand they can shove the job if I get too over worked. Since good people are in short supply, our arrangement works very well.

The hell with 5 day work weeks.

Work to live not live to work.

49% isn’t a lot though. Mean 51% are working from home still. Imagine it was 70% are in office

If they really want to utilize all those offices, they need to get creative. Convert some buildings into hybrid residential and office spaces. Employers can provide housing for their employees.

Those are just office jobs that have the luxury of being able to work anywhere. They should poll the people who go to work every day in person to get more accurate numbers.

Crime? That’s what worries you?

The real crime is wasting 1-2 hours a day commuting to and from work That’s the real crime and I want none of it.
