Just another indirect result of the George Floyd/BLM riots of 2020. Cops aren't aggressively patrolling the outer boroughs and the criminals know it. Outer Queens has been devastated by this. The animals are so brazen, when you catch them at 2am and confront them...they laugh and say "call the cops." No joke. Fortunately I have my own driveway but I know at least 20 car owners who have been victimized. And this is a crime we never, ever had in my neighborhood prior to 2020.
