Does anybody in or around Forest Hills use an electric scooter or electric bike to get to Manhattan. I was just wondering how long will it take to get to over the bridge since my workplace is on 54 and second Ave. Obviously, I don’t want to be riding as rash as those courier guys.

Thanks
That's a stupid idea, the E/F train takes less than 25mins into NYC and you're looking to bike from there which is not only dangerous but would take close to 60mins. Queens Blvd is probably one of the most dangerous roads for anything but cars. Forest Hills is the easiest commute in all of the Queens into nyc by subway. When I was young, buses are probably the worst obstacle for bikers. During the rain or dark at night, they can't see very well.
I live in Queens and take the express bus when I need to be in Manhattan. If you're concerned about subway safety, there are a number of express buses from Forest Hills that should put you near to 54th and 2nd.
Do not plan on a bike or scooter into Manhattan, it is too fraught with danger. Go with the E,F,M, or R train. Service from Forest Hills is excellent and for some of the trains it's the first stop so you will usually have a seat going in.
Just take LIRR if you don't want to take the subway. It's 15 minutes, then ride the scooter up to 54th and 2nd Ave. It may not be quicker all days than just the train, but guaranteed less delays and less drama/violence.
If you aren't already used to city biking, then plunging into a very long commute from Forest Hills to Midtown isn't going to be a good way of testing the waters even though the Queens Boulevard bike lane is pretty good. It's fine biking for me, but I've been biking for over a decade in this city so the tolerance for it is high, and I never had to do that far of a daily commute on a bike and the attractiveness of doing so even with an electric bike goes down quite a bit because there's then no time savings as even on a bike you're probably looking at about fifty minutes. This is especially in light of your multiple other options available including the subway, the LIRR train station at Forest Hills if Grand Central opens to LIRR this year with use of CityTicket for the fare, and express buses.
LIRR GCM is opening up soon. That will help a lot!
Yea, though it's still nuts that it's a doubled tracked service into Manhattan and yet they went with making a massive interlocking to two massive twin tunnels double-decked to run terminal operations in 8 berths instead of what probably would have been the same order of magnitude cost for an orders of magnitude more useful through-running operation with multiple smaller stations in Manhattan.
With many still resistant to taking subways due to increased crime more traffic
( those who drive will agree ) is noticeable. Beltparkway, BQE at 4-5 am jam packed.
Are you kidding me?
Keep off the scooter. Dangerous.
Take alternate transport ( above ground ) until crime is under control.
As far as the subways are concerned...............fill the hole with sand.
