Ms. Meyer’s appointment provided that rising anger with a target: a petite, redheaded mom from Manhattan who was more adept with PowerPoint presentations than with irate passengers.
Exhausted from what she described as “the negativity,” Ms. Meyer, 39, resigned this summer to spend more time with her two young daughters, having helped improve the way the transit authority interacts and communicates with the public.
