Unless you are living on government handouts,
why in the world would the average earner still want to live here?

The poverty income guideline of $29,160 hasn't budged much since the 80's
It will only be a matter of time and when it does the Poverty Tracker Data will find
an increase amount of New Yorkers applying for subsidies.

Unless of course the objective for New York City is to have its' citizens living in Favelas
not by name or appearance but by never ending hardship.

It is easy to hide a homeless person behind a mink coat but the suffering will still exist.

My wife and I make 500k combined. If we moved, we wouldn't be making this much. So yeah that's why we still live here.

But it's reasonable to give NYC Teachers a 3% cost of living increase.

I've been to the Favelas in Rio. No disagreement but one mantra for living in NYC is "Only the strongest live here because they can endure never ending hardship."

Welcome to the middle class.
Now empty your wallets. It's tax time.
How else do you expect poor folks to make it.
