I really never noticed alot of gay people in the Bronx, or at least in my area (Mott Haven), however in the last year or so I have been more keenly aware of lesbians in the area. The reality is there are ALOT of lesbians where I live...but very few male homosexuals. In fact, I was outbid on a house by 2 white lesbians...which is what made me more focused on my surroundings, as on the surface they did not seem compatible with the area. Has anyone else noticed the gay phenomenon that is sprouting in the Bronx? Gay pairs like boros, raising kids in Bronx

Duuuuude! Have you seen the abundance of black and latino people overtaking small towns lately?! Its crazy! I've never seen them out of their natural habitat!

This post is rather insulting.

I am sure he is not trying to insult anyone with his post. He is probably glad that gays are now part of the diversity in the Bronx.

Well I apologize, MottHavenDude, if this post was merely out of curiosity. I personally found it just a tad insulting.

This post was anything but insulting. I am saying I have now noticed alot of gays in my neighborhood than before, but I am sure there were/are previously. However, I am NOW noticing alot more lesbians, due in large part because I am more aware of my neighbors/surroundings. I asked if anyone else has noticed the increased presence of gays....my post was anything but insulting. However, your comment was purposefully hateful and ignorant..nice job.

The way you said, and the way i took it, it made it sound like "Oh wow! Gays! Never thought they'd actually show up up here!" Therefore I was insulted. And I simply said that "purposefully hateful and ignorant" remark so you would understand how insulting this topic made me feel. Now, I apologized and now this whole thing can be squashed. Thank you.

what a misleading thread title. Taking over? and the bronx, or mott heaven? and guy, did you know 10 percent of the pop. is gay? I don't think that figure is any higher here than any other part of the city.

Lol...yes my intention is to mislead people because I get $100 for every person I get to click on the thread. If you read the title..you will note a question mark...not a period.....it poses a question...not a statement...how is that misleading? And my assessment is not misleading either...I notice alot more gays in the area...and the article confirms that there are many lesbians in the Bronx, and that number presumably has grown as of late. Jackson we do not know what percentage of the American population is gay..estimates range from 2% -10%...so your guess is as good as anyone's.
