Flushing actually covers a pretty large area in Queens, but overall is a pretty nice area. Northern Flushing (North of Northern Blvd) is really nice, with a quiet suburbia feel to it. There is also the "heart" of flushing, where it is pretty much a Chinatown. Plenty of good and cheap restaurants and shopping, but extremely congested with people and traffic. Then, if you go a little further South and West, you start to hit a part of Flushing that borders a predominantly Hasidic neighborhood, which is also quiet and nice. So depending on what part you'll be moving to, your surrounding atmosphere can be completely different!

The further north you go, the better.

Flushing is a good place to live. I myself am waiting on a call back for an apartment in Flushing.

Rents I would say start at 1,400-up depending on what you need.

Think again, rents in Flushing don't start at $1,400, try $900.00 on up.
