Hi! I'll be having my internship near Union Square in New York. Any suggestions on a place to stay in NY that is reasonable priced? I checked the internet and there's a hostel in Greene Ave. Brooklyn, NY that has a rate of $25 per day. For international students who will stay long term , the monthly package rate for a bunk bed dorm is $450 a month. So, the dorm with a bunk bed can have accomodate 4, 6, and 8 people in a dorm room. Is it safe to live in Greene Ave. Brooklyn? How many rides to go to Union Square? Is it by bus or subway? What ride will I take from Greene Ave. Brooklyn going to Union Square? How much will I spend for the transportation from the Greene Ave. Hostel going to Union Square? What's the neighborhood of Greene Ave. Brooklyn? Is it convenient? Which is near Union Square? Queens or Brroklyn? Which is better place to stay? Is there a reasonably price dorm or hostel or room in Manhattan? Is Union Square located in Downtown, Midtown or Uptown Manhattan? Any advice on moving to NY?

Thank you.

Not sure how safe that area is but if thats the correct price you would be getting a pretty good price for housing and its only going to cost you 2 dollars to get from Brooklyn to Union Square. The subway is only 2 dollars and transfers are free aslong as you never get out of the station. And Brooklyn and Queens are around 2 million people in each Borough so its hard to say which is closer but Brooklyn might be a better place to stay for you because it tends to be a little easier in most cases to get into the city and theres much more to do. Union Square is located dowtown. Its at the 14th street stop. And advice for you would probably be to try to keep up with everything and dont let anyones attitude bother you. Basically everyone is kinda pissed off because they are always rushing somewhere. And dont try to make friends so easily. People on the street usually arn't going to take the time out to talk unless you want directions. New Yorkers love to give directions.

Good Luck
