In co-ops the property taxes are included in the maintenance.

The maintenance was generally a lot lower than what I pay now, but did not include the amenities I have in my current coop so it would have ended up the same or possibly more expensive; hard to tell.

I think the real trick is finding out if the coop board is competent; if they have a good managing agent; and how the financials are. That would probably help determine if maintenance costs are likely to go up significantly in the future.

I just moved from the south Bronx 138Th street from 138th to 149th street is crazy with junkies all over the place I was robed at gun point this year in my building on 137Th ( Mott haven)
