How is the neighborhood there? Btw, I'm not exactly a scaredy-cat but would not call myself a street-wise, tough girl either. I'll be going there 7:00ish. Would like to hear your honest opinions. Thanks!

It's your lucky day I lived there for 10 years. Egecome goes all they way up past 165th Street. Edgecome Ave is a great area across from park you can jog and stuff . It starts at 145 Street and goes up to Washingtion Heights. Its a great area, close to most trains and bus.

Those two areas are like night and day. lol, seriously. Edgecombe can get really desolate at times and Broadway is the complete opposite lots of people and noisey. I would favor Edgecombe but I'm a dude, and I don't know if I would I feel comfortable on Edgecombe as a single woman honestly.

I lived on Edgecombe, ar. 145th, for about six years and just recently moved. It is pretty safe. You will need to be a bit careful and stay aware late at night, but I have never really felt unsafe there. I am a single woman, yet it was no big deal, in terms of safety, plus it is close to the trains.
