I don't know about Warren Street. Sheepshead Bay used to be good but they're going downhill.

The safest housing projects I would say are:

Queens: Woodhaven Houses and Pomonok

Manhattan: Amsterdam Houses, Chelsea/Elliot Houses, Hudson Terrace, Isaacs Houses and some on the L.E.S/Lower Manhattan area. Even though the ones in L.E.S. and Lower Manhattan can still be shady, there's usually a strong police presence and you're never too far away from the "finer" parts of Manhattan.

Brooklyn: Williamsburg Houses

Bronx: NONE

Staten Island: Don't know
