Going to be in NYC for a couple of days and will be staying at the Travel Inn on west 42nd street.. any one familiar with the area?
My usual stopping place is the Chelsea Hotel but this time the venue is further north
(Terminal 5 ) thus the Travel inn.

I think many years ago, maybe 20 or so, a severed head was found in that Travel Inn. I tried googling it but found nothing. I'm sure they've renovated since then. I think. Then again some pretty interesting stuff has been found in the Chelsea too.

Severed heads i dont mind as long as the maid cleans up before i get there,i was more interested in restaurants with in a block or two.

Within a block or two is awfully limited. We walk here in Manhattan. If you start walking north up Ninth Avenue you'll find quite a bit. And Esca is on 43rd.
