i grew up in Lagrange and LOVED it. I'm now a single mom living in Poughkeepsie. Im toying with staying here, or starting new in Kingston or Albany or....

What areas no more then 2 hours from Pok (i have family here) is a better place to raise a little boy and start a new Life?

Oh yeah,i love the outdoors. History. I want my son to be active! I don't drive, but am ok with buses cabs and walking. just looking to hear about areas,I will receive help with rent and finding a place.

Thank you

I'd look in the Albany area-it's cheaper for living up in that area. There is plenty to do up there near the city also. Close enough to take advantage of areas to hike, and to still enjoy museums and shows. I have quite a few friends that have left here and moved up to the Clifton Park area. The schools have more to offer up there now too compared to what we have here in Dutchess. I grew up here too-we've been wanting to leave for some time now-it's just not the place it used to be. I love the Capital area-we go up there at least twice a month.
