Which has better reception in the Catskill Mountains: Sprint or Verizon? Which has less expensive plans? Thanks.

Cheapest phone plane available is Virgin Mobile's $25 unlimited plan. Unlimited text, web, and 300 monthly minutes. Uses Sprint's towers. Works great in Orange County. Works OK in Monticello and Liberty in Sullivan County, but poorly elsewhere.

Verizon also has excellent service in Orange County and a bit less in Sullivan.
