What seems to be the most reliable weather forecaster for NYC, NY, and NJ?

Atm, I'm using Accuweather.com, Myforecast.com extended 15day forecasts.

They are both giving opposite reports :s.

Which one is more likely to be accurate, is there a better forecaster that I have missed?

Good question, don't have an answer. I've noticed that forecasts change right until just hours away, they are almost useless. Clearly meteorology has a long way to go... one reason why I don't trust global warmists.

As a student of Meteorology, I can assure you that THE best site to use to get your weather is weather.gov. Avoid AccuWeather and Wunderground // others. Public perception of weather forecast accuracy is often skewed due to inaccurate forecasts / the public's general lack of understanding of weather phenomena (IE: hail vs. sleet, scattered showers/thunderstorms vs. it is going to be cloudy and rainy today). I would love to address any weather questions you guys have!

Oh, and as for the really long range forecasts - absolutely avoid those. They are typically quite inaccurate (sometimes they can show a trend, but typically show no day-by-day accuracy beyond the fifth day. Our accurate forecast window is usually within the 3-4 period.

Learn to use NOAA. Go on the website and put in the zip code or town. As you learn to navigate around the site, you will find incredible information.

Accuweather was spot on for me, I made a day by day schedule of what I do and when based on weather. Accuweather's forecasts were 100% true for me.

Just use dopplar radar.

Temperature is never right due to microclimates. The "significant" weather events determinants are precip vs. no precip. Well, storm warnings also but every weather station will issue those (a.k.a. no need to cross-reference).
