Why force people to do what you want when it violates the very core of their being. Just go somewhere else. Forcing business people to serve others they don't want to is basically a form of slavery:

Yup, businesses should be able to refuse service to anyone. It's basically slavery to make them serve people they don't want to serve. Like, why couldn't these self-respecting guys go somewhere else for service?
All these gay people everywhere ruining everything about society as we know it is totally not normal and never will be, no matter what they say or how many times they are front and back page news.
it's getting really bad nowadays. First these business owners are punished for being Christian, next thing you now the gays will be wanting to join the chritian church.
Fgt's need to keep their sexual prefences private. This whole pride movement is such a black eye on the US.
If you own a business it should be your right to do business with whoever you want and not do business with whoever you don't want for whatever. All this bs is why some of,these businesses should be members only business where they charge for a private membership and where the business owners can accept members they want and decline applications for who they don't want.
As a perfect example of the above logic, I more than likely wouldn't like you as a person, but I agree with everything you've written in this thread. The whole idea of "discrimination" between private parties is nothing more than an attack on the 1st Amendment. "Discrimination" should only apply to government agencies. Individuals, including business owners, should be free from government interference and therefore free to be as discriminitory as their ignorance dictates.

A lot of people like this train of thought and it just isn't true. It's not like you build a business completely on your own without signing any papers or going over any government/state laws. Therefore, a certain protocol must be followed in order to do your business and if you violate that, you get punished. The liberty of doing business your way has reasonable limits.
I don't know why, but it's still shocking to me that people are so bigoted and discriminatory.
Gotta love the "Christians" hiding behind their hate-filled version of "religion" - especially the version where you get to pick and choose which teachings you follow and which you can ignore. If you are a true Christian, aren't you supposed to leave the judging to the "powers that be"?
Have these "super-Christian" venue owners ever hosted a (hetero) non-Christian ceremony? Because if they are really that "religious", wouldn't someone not accepting their set of beliefs be the most offensive? You know, like an atheist or Jewish ceremony? Somehow I doubt *that* has ever come into play, and they were fine to take non-Christian hetero couples' money!
I'm embarrassed for their family members that don't ascribe to their bigoted nastiness. At the very least, glad that their true colors have been shown.
Woahhh a lot of the posts in this thread are reminiscent of a YouTube comment thread...filled with blind intolerance and ulcer-inducing dumb****ery.
And I find it hilariously ironic that the farm has "liberty" in its name. Liberty only if you're straight, apparently.

Really? Because my freaking church supports same-sex marriage and we consider ourselves Christian. Also, the mother effing Pope himself supports same-sex unions. So don't try to label this as something it's not. It isn't them being "good Christians," it's them being bigots, plain and simple. Stop giving Christians a bad name.

Several posters said it best "your a public business you can discriminate because you don't agree". The owners objected because of their religious beliefs which many on here say is all right because it's Christianity. Is this a universal catch all? Say it offends your Christian Values and it's ok... But heaven forbid someone restrict them from practicing something they believe it and that person/place is publically crucified from every pulpit in that faiths network.
What a crock......
