Both are 1 and 2 in terms of population density for Upstate NY municipalities. Which would you pick in terms of location, things to do, education, basic shopping, its Downtown, safety/crime, recreation, culture, urbanity and walkability?
I've lived in Watervliet for the past 7 months, and in the general area for 42 years. I'm happy with it, as my house is close to my job, my street is quiet with no ghetto-blaster neighbors, and it is close to whatever places I frequent in terms of shopping and recreation.
Considering that Watervliet is in Albany County in eastern NY, and Kenmore is in Erie County in western NY, I couldn't tell you which is better.
Kenmore is safe community right outside of Buffalo.
