The last 2 weeks the weather has been very cloudy and overcast in the rochester ny area. There is no sun visible at all. Can anyone explain what is going on? Usually this time of year the sun is out.

This week is supposes to be solid sunshine. I feel like we get a couple of weeks every spring just like the past two: cold, wet, and windy. It just surprises us every year, especially when we get spoiled with awesome weather beforehand.

Supposed to be cold and cloudy all week here. I monitor the weather every year and it is definitely unseasonably cold and cloudy. I asked a friend about the weather lately who supported trump and she thinks it is due to trump relaxing environmental restrictions and more pollution causing the clouds.

No it's not just Rochester. There was record rainfall all over the country. Rochester just broke the all-time record for rainfall. That's hardly typical.

FWIW, I haven't seen the sun in NJ in weeks. 3 more inches of rain for today. At least the days are getting longer...

I mentioned rain because unless you've been living under a rock, you'd realize that it's also been an abnormally rainy spring season. And a good portion of the entire country has had abnormal rain and cooler than normal temperatures. And people can usually equate clouds with rain. Unless there's another way for rain to fall that I'm unaware of?
