Jericho in Long Island ranked #1 in the state and in the country! Nassau, Long Island and Westchestwer seem to rule - no surprise. Looking at the list, I'd say Bellmore-Merrick at #8 in Long Island, #19 NY state is probably most affordable area from the top 20 on that list at the moment.

This is from Niche, by the way. https://www.niche.com/k12/search/bes...ts/s/new-york/

Brighton at 8th is the highest ranked Upstate school district, ahead of usuals like Pittsford(16th-ROC area), Fayetteville-Manlius(23rd-SYR area), Williamsville(26th-BUF area), Penfield(28th-ROC area), Bethlehem(42nd-ALB area), Niskayuna(45th-ALB area), New Hartford(47th-UTI area) and North Colonie(50th-ALB area), among others.

It will be interesting to see how this matches up with the Buffalo Business First Upstate school list.

Also, what makes this list interesting is that some districts that have been given mixed reviews on here rank pretty high on this list. White Plains, Nyack and Sweet Home(in Amherst) are a few that come to mind.
