Hello,

My family is planning on moving into Rockland. Our main priority is getting our son into a great school where he can find diversity, extracurricular activities and an outstanding education. Which school district do you recommend and why? I have heard that schools in new city, pearl river and nanuet are good. I looked at the "school grading" online for pearl river and some of the schools are below "8." HELP PLS!

The bolded community is largely in the Clarkstown Central SD.

Also, don't get caught up on greatschools rankings alone, as they historically have been about test scores. In recent years they seem to have changed in regards to if a school has shown improvement or not, even if the school has had fine test scores all along.

Also, I wouldn't rule out Nyack, Suffern(Ramapo Central) or North Rockland.
