What are the best schools north of Westchester and south of Albany? (Poughkeepsie: counties)

What towns/counties above Westchester and below Albany (basically along I87 or thereabouts), are considered to have excellent schools? This can include private schools.

Some that come to mind are Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Spackenkill and Cornwall.

It's just barely north of Westchester, but Haldane in Cold Spring has a solid reputation as well.
