Oh, no. Going to Seneca Falls has been a dream of mine.

The Finger Lakes Are Being Poisoned
Buried under a mountain of garbage

The young people—especially young women—protesting climate change in the streets might want to highlight the environmental travesty that is Seneca Falls today. New York City’s trash and sewage sludge is hauled here, 314 miles up the New York State Thruway, in giant diesel trucks spewing black exhaust all day long. You can smell this mountain of garbage in towns 30 miles away.

Still go, as it is a nice town and I believe that it is actually closer to Waterloo, a village a few miles to the west. https://senecameadows.com/

Seneca Falls, where the Women's Hall of Fame is located is in the former village: https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9105...e%3D_AITVALUE_

I will say that it is interesting how it is a company based in TX wants to keep the landfill open and money talks. more on this from the Seneca falls based FingerLakes1.com: https://www.fingerlakes1.com/2021/11...o-be-extended/

Another reason what happens on the local level is very important.

There is a landfill in Perinton too. One of Rochester's best suburbs. Proper management is the key.

Nyc trucks most of its garbage to NJ actually, where it is burned and converted into energy.
