As I'd potentially want to build an addition or cabin or something, I want to know about zoning and such. I'll get in touch w the zoning person, and anecdotal info is also helpful.

I hope to spend a few days there next week, hope the warm up continues!
In terms of the bolded, what kind of stores are you referring to? I ask, because it is a good drive from a good concentration of big box stores that are found in many suburbs across the country minus a Super Wal*Mart. Massena is the best bet in the county for having a decent amount of big box stores: https://www.google.com/maps/@44.9209...7i13312!8i6656 , https://www.google.com/maps/@44.9240...7i13312!8i6656

The other option would be to look around Gouverneur and go to either Evans Mills near Fort Drum(some big box stores) or Arsenal Street west of Watertown(has a mall, a good selection of big box stores) both in adjacent Jefferson County.

I'm not much of a shopper ij my dotage lol.
Groceries once a week and 'big box' maybe a few times a year. I spend as many dollars as I possibly can at locally owned 'mom & pop' shops. But it's nice to have options when looking for a lot of choices, which is when I'd want to make that drive.
