Legacy pick, Auburn:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerome_H._Holland
https://footballfoundation.org/hof_search.aspx?hof=1473 (probably would have played pro ball if allowed, as the NFL banned black players from 1934 to 1946, Auburn HS’s stadium is named after him)
I'll stop there, but this also doesn't include others that played for short stints in pro ball from Hudson(2), Bishop Kearney(Irondequoit/Rochester), Lockport, Poughkeepsie, Kingston, West Seneca East, CBA(Syracuse), Geneva, New Paltz, Colonie, some of the previously mentioned schools or current pro players from Buffalo South Park, Buffalo Bennett(Olmsted), Buffalo Grover Cleveland(doesn't have Football anymore), Canisius(Buffalo, from Niagara Falls), among others.
This also doesn’t consider guys that got NFL camp invites that I know of from high schools such as Fayetteville-Manlius, Horseheads and Central Square, among others. Same for those drafted.
If I left any out, let me know.
Something I just thought about for this list is that there isn't a QB selection. From what I could think of, this former West Seneca East/Syracuse University QB did play at a pro level and may be the best selection:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Mason
https://www.tcdb.com/GalleryP.cfm/pi...tName=&sBrand=
I also thought about this former MLB player that played QB for the old Proctor High in Utica in the mid 1960's:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Cash_(baseball )
A team picture from his senior year in the fall of 1965(Proctor was a highly Italian school in makeup back then due to its location in East Utica. Now, it is probably one of the most diverse high schools in the state.):
https://www.classmates.com/siteui/ye...33330?page=104
Or even this former Auburn High QB from the early 1970's that did play in the CFL, NFL and USFL after playing QB at Iowa State:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddy_Hardeman
https://www.widerightnattylite.com/2...buddy-hardeman
Here is another former pro Football reference that grew up in Buffalo and played his HS ball at Seneca Vocational(again, doesn't have football anymore):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_Jakes
https://www.tcdb.com/GalleryP.cfm/pid/60059/Van-Jakes
An article about his life as a franchisee:
https://www.franchising.com/articles..._football.html
Another one that also grew up in the Buffalo area and attended Canisius HS in the city:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Urschel
Also, a sports reference between Amherst high schools Sweet Home/Amherst Central:
https://www.amherstbee.com/articles/...ig-cat-trophy/
Also, here is a historic/professional reference of a woman born in Rochester, but raised in Avon, went to church in Mumford(a historically black Baptist church that has been there since the early 1890's) and graduated from Geneseo HS in the mid 1950's:
https://www.thehistorymakers.org/bio...arlene-johnson
Her Junior year picture from the 1953 Geneseo High yearbook:
https://www.classmates.com/siteui/ye.../70755?page=30
Another professional reference, while born in Mississippi, grew up in Niagara Falls(graduated from the old, pre-consolidation NFHS) and later became a professor:
https://www.thehistorymakers.org/bio...ian-s-williams
Her senior year picture in 1962:
https://www.classmates.com/siteui/ye.../25778?page=65
A dancer/choreographer that while originally from Florida(migrant farm family), grew up also in Wayland in Steuben County:
https://www.thehistorymakers.org/biography/bill-t-jones
His senior year picture from 1970 at Wayland-Cohocton HS:
https://www.classmates.com/siteui/ye...209303?page=37
With many, if not all of these references, they were not the "only ones" in these schools at the time either.
