What are some blue collar suburbs in NY State? For instance, in the Syracuse area, I would say that Solvay, East Syracuse and Minoa would be considered to be blue collar suburbs. What are some other communities in the state like those mentioned?

To give an idea of what these communities are like, here's the website for each community: Village of Minoa New York

Lockport without a doubt, half the city is or at least once was employed by that plant. It also serves as a large tax base. You get a blue collar feel from talking to the locals.

East Rochester I'd say. I feel like almost all of Rochester suburbs are more white collar though.

In the Buffalo area: Lackawanna, Blasdell, Cheektowaga and West Seneca

In NYC: Staten Island (technically not a suburb, but it definitely acts and feels like one), Yonkers and Bayonne, NJ. Parts of Eastern Queens, Southeast Brooklyn and Northern Bronx also have a blue-collar semi-suburban feel to them as well. Although technically not suburbs, they are far away from Manhattan which gives them a suburban vibe.

However, in NYC, "blue collar" is relative
