Hello ..my family and I are moving upstate NY.we have a 9 yrs old so good schools are a must and I'm also a college student.
We need something no more than about 90mins from the city.Our budget on rent is $2000. We're also looking for some place we can enjoy nature, bike riding, hiking and lots of family activities.
If there's anyone out there who have had this transition please share. Also feel free to suggest areas we should look into .

In New York State, look into Towns of Pawling, Patterson, Fishkill, Monroe, Stony Point, Spring Valley, Haverstraw, Sloatsburg, Suffern, Nyack, New City. Piermont and Orangeburg. In New Jersey, Aberdeen, Cliffwood, Hazlett Township, Cliffwood Beach, Keansburg, Matawan, Laurence Township and Bridge Township.
