I am going to law school next year, and Cornell will be one of my top 3 schools.
I am unfamiliar with Ithaca, as I am from Texas. So, some general questions.
1) My wife is a teacher, 5th grade generalist (she can teach anything) with 3 years experience. She is not alt-certified either, she has a degree in Education. What is the teaching market like in that area? Is the teaching market supersaturated there like it is here in Dallas?
2) What kind of salary is she looking at making? I looked, but I couldn't seem to find a salary schedule for that region.
3) Rentals. We currently live in a house with 2 big dogs. Will it be possible to find a house to rent with a fenced that is at least 1600SF for under $1500? It doesn't have to be right next door to school or her work, but within a reasonable driving distance would be nice.
4) What's it like there? We won't have much time to visit really, so what does it compare to?
