B. I noticed you omitted some of the finer looking Nissans (Cube, Juke, that big pickup nosed van, etc)
C. Genesis start at 35K, Maxima starts at 31K but with less standard equip. Those cars are in the same market. The V8 Genesis is not.
A. And people's neglect is Nissan's fault? What if someone never changes the oil in their engine. Engine fails. Is this also the car manufacturer's fault? Or never flush out your cooling system, and the water pump goes out. The service manual exists for a reason.
B. I omitted those because yes, they look funky, which I believe, for whatever reason, is their goal with those vehicles...
C. 2015 Genesis starts at $38k. (From their own website.) Maxima is $31k. Hyundai also prides the Genesis as being a cheaper alternative to premium luxury brands.
According to Hyundai themselves: "Hyundai isn't shy about naming the cars it sees as the new 2015 Genesis Sedan's competitive targets: Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS, Infiniti Q70, Lexus GS, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class."

No one has had transmissions that bad since Chrysler had the front drive 4 speed autos!
Toyota, Honda, Dodge, Audi, to name a few

And how quickly are some to forget GM's disastrous recent years with faulty transmission software and breaking shift cables? I believe their numbers reached millions?
And have you experienced the 9-speed transmission offered by Chrysler yet? Quite assuredly a candidate for worst performing transmission of the decade.

Toyota and Honda will be successful to make a DVT, as will the Germans. Toyota had always made reliable transmissions and ZF also makes great transmissions.

The Nissan (JATCO) ones are the extremely unreliable ones.

Maybe it's because they spent 25 years making bad transmissions, but I just don't trust a Chrysler product with an automatic transmission - even if it (8 speed, 9 speed) is designed by a good company such as ZF. Chrysler manufactures them and will make their own changes to save money, causing them to be on par with the 41TE for reliability.

Too much exaggeration. The 8hp transmissions are fine (except for a recalled bad batch) and the 9-speed transmission issues have been solved by SOFTWARE updates. Hardly widespread complete failures like the 41TE.
