I'm going to get more roll eyes comments from this but... I have never used a 0-60 comparison in my life, its just not a good metric to use. Acceleration is NOT linear with cars.
Car A can have a better 0-60 time than Car B but Car B can have a better 0-120 time than car A.
Yes, but in most people's real lives, 0 to 60 is a relevant stat, whereas anything above the speed limit is fairly useless.
Except that it's ugly and not at all distinctive-looking on the road.
Here is my take. The Vette is better looking that the GTR hands down. Still, the GTR is WAY better looking than that ugly Mustang. Unfortunately, the Mustang got beat with the ugly stick since 2005.

Subjective statement, and not relevant. I think it's beautiful, but my opinion of it's looks is hardly going to sway yours, is it?

People don't buy these cars to go from 0-60 bud.
You either have access to a racetrack, or you have a liberal approach to interpretation of speed limits, which, after 4 months in Dallas, most people here have.
I buy cars like that and I have no interest in racing around a track in them. I just happen to enjoy getting to 70mph in four and half seconds...and that's still within the speed limits.

If a cop saw you punch it to 70 he will nail you and you will get a fine trust me I was beside a late model mustang and we both punched it off the line up to the the speed limit and he gave us a written warning the reason we got caught was we both had aftermarket mufflers and he heard us take off

actually, the best "bang for the buck" in a sports car, as much as I hate to admit it, is the 2009 Dodge Viper ACR, if you are really planning to put a car on the track on the weekends and use it for transportation some during the week. It is faster than the GT-R, the hot 'Stangs and the much-worshiped Corvette C6 ZR1 (at least in terms of general track racing, you know, with turns both left and right).
At this point though, at least in my opinion, you'd have to pick your favorite, make sure you could live with it and be the better driver to win the day.
