I started the "are most of your friends the same gender as you" and from the first response, I realized that who your closest friends are is a separate question.
So, regardless of how many friends are of the same gender as you, when it comes to your closest friends, are they the same or other gender?
My guy friends have been in my life for years as Is their families so i am closest to them. One I know for 30 years! I have 2 female friends that I share things with am are supportive and vice versa but know them much less time and the friendship with the guys is closer due to the time and experience involved.
