Since he helped everyone else, he isn't just lazy. I am going to guess that OP has said or done something in the past that was so rude that he will no longer help her.
If one is rude about turning down unwanted help at some point, then one does not get help when it is wanted.
The most likely reason for a manager to stare at a customer all the time they are in the store, is that the customer is suspected of shoplifting.
you're just making up stuff now. if people don't know what to say then they just blame the OP. If you work at a grocery store, it's your job, regardless of what your personal opinion is about the customer to help. even if she was rude in the past (but there's no evidence of this because youre making this up) he is supposed to assist her. Not just stand there staring like a simpleton. She shouldn't have to flag him down to do his job.
people really worry far too much about the small things.
If you had trouble with the self-checkout, you need to wave the help over regardless if he saw you or not since you have no idea what he's thinking.
But you didn't, so he didn't help you. Who cares that he ran to help other people, he wasn't so worried about you since you didn't ask him for assistance.
The guy's job is to assist people..she shouldn't have to make him do his job.
You must be self employed.

Outside of Sixy's answer I was thinking the same thing; from somewhere, some other time the attendant remembers the OP for something she did, perhaps inadvertantly, and this is his payback.
Either that or the OP was so freaked out at the machine, remember she has anxiety, making a scene she was completely unaware the attendant was instructing her from where he was standing.
There's no point in that. The worst thing that will happen to him is maybe getting a warning. A slap on the hand and tell him to be more observant.
If she's that distressed over this, just avoid the self check lane and stick to the full service check outs, or find another store.
But this is not that critical.
Well, it's better than nothing, & he will know not to do it again. Avoiding certain stores does not solve the problem, when ppl don't do their job they should be reprimanded for it.
Did you notice that this was posted in the relationship section and she said she wanted a relationship with him?
Yes. And what he did would have turned me off from any potential relationship with him. I would have reported him.
