Christmas is tomorrow and I will be joining about 20 of my wife's extended family for THE HOLIDAY. It will be as boring as hell. (I am sure the boring people think I am boring too.)

Lots of people on City Data complain about drama at family events. I would love some drama. Bring in some Tea Party voters so us liberals can have some one to argue politics with. Instead of being so passive aggressive and acting like they like me, I wish those relatives who dislike me would tell me, so we have a starting point for discussion. Lets raise our voices, lets disagree and bring some energy to the room. GIVE ME SOME DRAMA at Christmas!

I prefer just to enjoy having family together, and the things that unite, rather than divide us.

Why go to extremes?

[play a game of Monopoly, instead]

I'm not Christian, but I believe the biggest problem with huge family gatherings, on Christmas or Thanksgiving or whatever is the strain it is to be pleasant to one another. I have never seen so many strained greetings, forced smiles, and awkward conversation than at Thanksgiving this year!

I chose boring, as evidenced by this thread.

I have no drama on the holidays with extended family.....
