A new restaurant opened up in my neighborhood recently and I've been a frequent patron. While the food, drinks, and service are always excellent, I was honest in my feedback that nights without special pricing are just too high. I was also honest in that I receive good service and the food is terrific.
If we're talking about businesses, then absolutely. But I always try to be constructive and offer suggestions. I don't just say "your food SUCKS" ... I might say "the soup is quite salty, it would be much better if you could cut back" or "the fries were rather limp; perhaps they need a little longer in the fryer?"
In interpersonal relationships, it really depends on the situation and what's being asked. A little tact goes a long way.
Yes. If you ask me for my opinion about something, no matter what it is, I will honestly tell you what I think. If you don't truly want to know, don't ask.
It has to be really bad or really good before I offer feedback. I don't want to be bothered. I hate those stupid surveys we have to take after getting our car serviced, or for other services.
