How complex are your feelings for your parents?

i just keep my space from them the best i can, but then my bro says he "hates" our father since he criticised him for changing religion, even though he still supported him throughout university, cooks dinner for him when he visits, takes him out to the cinema, theatre, and other evil stuff.

Not complex. I think part of growing up is accepting that your parents aren't perfect. They loved me and I loved them. Not complex at all.
