Then they need to just blow people off who say anything based on her influence.
For instance, "Auntie says you need to go to church more because you're acting ungrateful."

Or, "When Auntie learns true humility and love, I might listen to her meddling. Otherwise, it's just negative gossip. So how have you been?"
At any rate, you just don't give her meddling any power. Don't be defensive. Be a broken record. If nothing else, just use this mantra: "Auntie needs to mind her own business. Next subject please."
Or, "When Auntie becomes the Pope she can tell me what to do. Next subject please."
