I have a female friend who took the time to make me feel better. She also invited me to work out with her where she teaches a class and I was wondering if maybe as kind of a small token of my appreciation towards our friendship I should give her a drawing of her as a physically strong woman since she works out and teaches a physical class. I don't know if maybe they can put it on the wall of the gym since she is a teacher there. We were friends for maybe less than 2 years but we haven't talked that much and now we have a stronger friendship. Do you think it would make her uncomfortable if even though we have texted before this is the first time we hung out out of school for me to give her a drawing I did of her? Men could respond but I would appreciate the perspective of a woman.
Depends on if you think you're going to get anything out of it.
RIGHT: Hey, I did a drawing of you. Hope you like it.
WRONG: You inspired me to do a drawing of you. Your fair-complected countenance, your dewy eyes, and a smile that eclipses a thousand suns is burned into my memory.
I'm a man, but I think it would be very creepy to do this.
I agree. The painting, esp one you want of her displayed to the public is a bit too much. Paint something else for her maybe. She can hang it at home. Win/Win.
Just curious: Are you interested in more then friendship with her?

I think she has great qualities in a girlfriend, she is smart, nice, motivated and beautiful but I am happy to be her friend. I would be happy to be her boyfriend but I am also ok with being just friends. If she is happy in a relationship with another man I am ok with that. Besides she might not be the one for me anyway but I just want to have at least a great friendship with her.
If you painted flowers or a nature scene and gave it to her, that would be cool. A painting of HER, though? Definitely creepy. That's really only appropriate if you're in a relationship or if the person specifically asked to to draw their portrait.

Yeah I guess this is true. I did a drawing of another girl but only because she told me to draw her. I wouldn't give her this drawing of her if she didn't. And even then she is probably still creeped out by me since we won't talk to me. I don't know if she forgot that she told me to draw her in the first place.
