i didn't know where else to put this.
Today I got a call Federal Grant government. The Indian or Pakistan guy said i have been selected to get a 9,000 grant money and that i don't have to pay back. So I sounded so excited and kept putting him on hold and kept asking the same question so he kept reading the same script.
So I told him he is a scammer then he said.

Scammer: oh you think this a scam, I am a officer i am going to arrest you
Me: Oh so now your an officer. An officer calling up people giving grants outs.
Scammer: i am going you *** hard. *****
Me: that's all you guys ever say

I was so close to giving him a fake routing number and account number. But i decided not to because it could have turn out to be someone elses.

But i did ask him does the county i live in appear on the screen he told me no. But then he read my name back to me and i told him that's not my name and then it went down hill from that.

The people who bait scammers and waste their time, annoying and frustrating them, are wonderful volunteers for the public good. A guy named Haven Riney wrote a great book about messing with telemarketers that could provide you with some inspiration. My favorite trick for the Windows Security scam is to go to a random object in my house and pretend that I think it's my computer. The microwave is a good choice; I pretend that the door's glass is my screen and the input keys at right are my keyboard. I also mock their accents, since they do not deserve fundamental courtesy. Any time you help ruin their days and waste their time, remember, a lost puppy finds a happy home full of loving kids out on a ranch somewhere.

For a phone number, you could always give them that of AT&T. They deserve that. Or the Comcastards. If he says he was giving grants, I would probably say that I was a great admirer of Grant and what he did for our country, though not so much as a politician; mostly as a general. Pretending not to understand them really messes with them, because they have to wonder if it's their English. Also, if you can affect a heavy regional US accent, so much the better. I use my father-in-law's accent, which is a borderline speech impediment as far as I'm concerned. It's a great time to get creative. You could tell him your name is Buford Pusser and that your hobby is walking tall, or that your name is Eddie Murphy and your hobby is trading places. Keep using the movie motifs as inspiration. That's one of Riney's favorite tricks, and he's much better at it than I am.

Not really a scam...more like some bottom feeder action.....

Had a bill collector phone my home about my NEIGHBORS across the street. They were trying to get their phone number. 30 minutes of free entertainment.

This guy on YouTube literally tortures them. He's calm though but the scammer loses patients with them

trick them into giving you an email address (say it's for verification). Then sign them up for every email list under the sun. Use google translate in other languages to find foreign email lists that will make it extremely difficult to find an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom

Well, I'd like to troll whoever is sending me fake Amazon emails.

"You have successfully cancelled your order #__________" which is a link to click on. I didn't.

I've gotten dozens of these. Anyone else?

Scrolling over the fake Amazon address, it is some other entity.
