I'm the same, I have a guy whom I guess you would call my best friend, but I call him my brother instead that's how close we are. Like brothers!
Yup, totally agree!
I call my "best friend" -- "my brother"

but then, is it safe and true to say that, for men... the term "brother" has equal meaning as a "best friend"...

and if so, why as men, do we have a "hard" time using the term "best friend" ?

Nope my best friends were girls in HS. My guy friends were always much older than me so it was hard for me to stay with them on activities due to age restrictions. When I was a senior in HS I was 18 going on 30 while other guys were barely acting 14. Even as I’ve aged I fit in much better with older guys than my own age or younger.

Quick answer, no. I never initiate any social contacts, just not interested. My wife has several friends she has lunch with regularly. I’m pretty simple; I have her, our cats, our home. I really don’t need, or want, anything else.

My question is, do most guys also have that one friend they call their best friend and share everything with them? It seems that guys really don't have a "best friend" as girls will do. There is that one friend who you are particularly close to compared to others, but at the very most...is still just a friend. Is this true? Do guys have a tougher time connecting with each other?
