Well I was told on here before to make more connections in the business and learn more about how to get funding. So that is what I was trying to do. I met with someone who knows how to get filmmaking funding more than I do, so was that not what was suggested to me before?
If not filming porn, develop something as a You Tuber.
I think those are more within reach for you, taking into account your situation
The for crying out loud, don't sit around your parents home talking about how you are going to make a movie someday until they have you declared incompetent.
Get busy and tell stories on film. As others suggested, start with short films on YouTube.
Learn your craft. Learn the business. Connect with kindred spirits.
Okay thanks, but I have put up stories on youtube before, and I am editing my current one and in production for another short film. But I don't want to stick to youtube forever. So I feel I will still have to put my money where my mouth is, and make it later anyway, and when that time comes, the parents are going to react the same way as is everyone else I think.
No, cause no one knows they are on there. It's not like people go searching for my movies since I am unknown. I can try to spread the word better if that helps. I have gotten good criticisms on them saying I could use a better director of photography and better actors, so I will spend the money on getting actors to travel in for my next if I have to, as well as a good DP.
Maybe OP's parents would rather see him spend his money on a home or apartment of their own. Could be they are upset you are still living under their roof, since you claim your an adult. Parents may be ready for the empty nest effect at this stage in their lives.

Why don't you post a link to your youtube videos on here so we can see them and give you better feedback? I'd love to see them and I bet others would, too. It seems like most people on here are trying to help you.
Yeah maybe. I wanted to move out a few years ago, but my dad was devestatted and really likes having me around and has a lot of good times with me he said. But maybe he feels the other way not sure. I do want to move out myself soon as I feel I am getting bored at home with my parents. Just wasn't sure what to do with my money first, but I do pay rent and buy my a lot of my own food and all that.
I am just surprised my parents and everyone else is acting like I just need to keep making much cheaper projects in the mean time and wait. Wait for what? All my life if I wait for an opportunity hoping it will come, it never comes. I learned the lesson that in order to get an opportunity, I have to try to create it myself the best I can so I am surprised they see this as a surprise, especially when trying to break into an industry where they would expect a good director to have a feature under their belt at some point. I mean I'm not surprised they are worried, I'm just surprised they thought someone was going to give me the funding or the money or whatever they thought.

More experience. More knowledge of the industry. Signs of success.

You don't seem to be in a position right now to do it the best you can. Again, you need more experience.

They are worried because you're making bad decisions. You're being impatient and unrealistic. You need to be successful on a smaller level before even considering using your savings for a feature film.
