Hi all--and thanks for your replies. Right now I am in Florida.. :-( Soon to be moving to NC or VA. I have explored your fantastic state from north to south & east to west for the past 3 years. Lived in Raleigh for a short 6 mos in 2004--and I can't wait to get back up that direction.
I just love to take off on a drive and explore whatever may come my way. I found the town of Selma by accident about 4 yrs ago on my way to Williamsburg, VA----I just love it!!! Stop there every time I go thru now.
I'm not a high end antique person as that is out of my price range. I'm more into the old country/general store stuff...
And yes, it pains me greatly to see things I grew up with in an antique store. What hurts even worse is when I see some of the toys my own kids had--and my oldest is only 23!!!
Thanks for all of the links and the info about the antique fair in September. Leaving this Sunday to take my daughter to look at colleges in NC. With good luck, I will be back up in early September as I begin the relocation process!!!!
